Insalata Caprese

Ingredients:
  • 4 large ripe tomatoes
  • 1 pound fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, washed and dried
  • olive oil
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • course sea salt

Preparation:

Slice tomatoes and mozzarella 1/4 inch thick.

Arrange the tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella on a tray in slightly overlapping layers.

Drizzle with olive oil and season with fresh black pepper and sea salt.
